The Honky Tonk Man is coming!!!

Velox Rugby Club presents Summer Super Slam, an outdoor charity wrestling event, held right in the middle of our field.

The longest reining WWE Intercontinental champion of all-time, The Honky Tonk Man will be headlining the event against ‘Gorgeous’ Michelle Star.

Victoria’s own Nelson Creed will look to settle some unfinished business when he faces off against ‘Rocket’ Randy Tyler in a Grudge match.

Tag team match – Kenny Lush and Billy Suede vs Toni Baroni and Artemis Spencer.

Singles match - Rick the Weapon X vs The Ladies Choice

Womens match – Veronica Vice vs Nicole Matthews

Partial proceeds from this family event will be going to Canada Breast Cancer.

WWE, or World Wrestling Entertainment, has been providing households with the biggest names in wrestling ever since it was known as the World Wrestling Federation in the late 1970′s and WWE autographed memorabilia remains extremely popular among fans.

Icons such as Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin and many more have fascinated and delighted the wrestling world with their larger-than-life showmanship, their hard-earned championship pro wrestlingbelts and larger than life personalities. 

As with any sport or form of entertainment, autograph collectors and fans alike worldwide have sought and fought after the opportunities to get the autographs of the top personalities. These autographs have gone on to sell for big money many years later to wrestling aficionados once the wrestler has retired. So whether a fan of the sport or an investment in a collectible, how can WWE autograph collectors manage to wrestle down signed photos of these superstars?

In the past, it was pretty difficult for fans to get autographs from the WWE superstars. Most of the time, their only option was to wait until a show came remotely close to their area, then hope for the chance at a signing later once the wrestlers had performed. Even today, where book signings and autograph sessions are held for fans, it remains difficult due to the sheer volume of people that show up for these events.

Sites like eBay and Amazon have changed the game and WrestlerAutographs.com has made it even easier by pulling only pro wrestling autographs, pro wrestling belts and other items from those sites and putting them in one place.  It’s become one of the most reliable avenues to obtain WWE autographed memorabilia.  So while WWE superstars may come and go with the times, fans can capture them forever with an autograph.

Victoria, British Columbia’s Nelson Creed is known as an extremely gifted technical wrestler and a natural athlete who was worked hard to hone his craft.  His diligence has paid off in appearances in Las Vegas,  Arizona, Florida and a recent shot in the WWE.

At 6’2″ and 230 pounds, the former contender for the NWA World Championship would make an outstanding addition to the tournament roster and would definitely be a favourite to take the Power Pro Wrestling Title.

WHY DID YOU BECOME A WRESTLER?:
“The same story as everyone.  In my high school you had to ‘choose your career.’  I was class clown,  and had just watched RAW the night before.  This was during the late ‘90s boom – the Steve Austin era.  So when I had to pick something, I said ‘pro wrestler.’   They said ‘wrestlers have to start somewhere, figure it out.’ So moved to Vancouver, and attended Mike Rozelli and Rocket Randy Tyler’s school in Vancouver.”

Power Pro Wrestling is  currently taking new registrants for our upcoming session.

If you have had the dream of exploring the possibilities in pro wrestling then this is your chance. Males and females over the age of 16 are eligible to register, and start classes in the coming weeks.

Our classes will focus on ring psychology, physical endurance, physical conditioning and much more.

Upcoming Free For All events will provide a unique wrestling experience with the emphasis on the wrestling.

Free For All events are made possible by a great list of national, regional and local sponsors that band together to provide quality FREE events for the whole family.

This intro in no way implies that talent portrayed in this clip has or ever will work for Power Pro Wrestling and merely consists of footage which Adam had shot.

Power Pro Wrestling is in the process of scouting venues for a training facility.

There is currently no training facility for professional wrestling on Vancouver Island.  Commuting to the mainland is an expensive proposition for aspiring grapplers, especially if training occurs more than once a week.

With the possibility of opening a wrestling academy in Victoria, Power Pro Wrestling will be opening the door for many would be wrestlers who can’t afford to pay not only for training but expensive ferry fares as well.

Not only will this be of benefit to students who live on Vancouver Island, but it will allow Power Pro Wrestling to develop homegrown talent.
